Dear God, merciful Father, I pray for myself. I surrender myself to your holy will.
Do what is best for me: touch me with your caring hands that I may be
healed; speak consoling words to me that my strength may return; ease my
pain that I may bear it with faith; cure me of my illness that I may do
more for you; restore my health that I may serve you better. With your
constant grace and loving assistance, let me understand your ways in my
suffering. Let me know your divine plan in my life. From you I have come
and to you I must return.
I pray for those who care for the
sick that they may perform their task well; give them: a heart that
never ceases to love despite the constant witness of illness and
suffering; hands that are always warm and caring, never holding back in
indifference nor pushing away in disgust; a spirit that never ceases to
serve, never weighed down by discouragement and frustrations.
With your deep love and unconditional mercy; grant them: renewed
understanding; abiding compassion; selfless service; faith in your word
and in the teaching of the Church.
I pray for all who are sick.
Bestow on us the gift of yourself. May our faith endure. May we never
lose hope. May we continue to trust. May our prayer ever be: “Father
into your hands I commend my spirit.”
I pray to you through the
intercession of the Blessed Mother, Our Lady of Remedies of Odlot. This I
ask through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Isaiah 49:16 "Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands, thy walls are continually before me"- I wanted to share this Bible verse today. We need to understand that Jesus' love for us is eternal regardless of what goes on in our lives, His love for us goes way beyond our failures and hurts as believers because we have accepted His love and forgiveness by giving our hearts to Him (Jesus), He loves us just as we are and longs for all of us to come to Him and accept His love by accepting His work of redemption in case we have not, that is how we can truly experience His love.
If we have already done that, there may be times when we may stumble and falter in our lives in our walk with Him, that is when the enemy(satan) may try to discourage us through negative thoughts and people in our lives but that is when we need to kneel, repent of our sins and seek Jesus' face more because in His presence, there is forgiveness and love, when we fall, we need to repent, shake off the dust and continue our walk with Jesus, we are the righteousness of God through Jesus' death on the cross, the holy blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins when we repent of them. We are not righteous by our works but through Jesus' work on the cross, so we need to seek Jesus' face, ask Him to make us more like Him and trust in Him and He is faithful to perfect His work of Redemption in us as He is the author and the finisher of our faith. - Author "Arul"
